Seiya Suzuki Could Return This Weekend
2 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki (finger) could be activated from the injured list for this weekend's series against the Yankees in New York, according to manager David Ross. Suzuki will undergo his second full workout of baseball activities in Baltimore on Wednesday. The Japanese outfielder is out with a sprained left ring finger, but he managed to take batting practice on Tuesday. Even if he goes on a short minor league rehab assignment before returning, the 27-year-old should be back soon for fantasy managers as the Cubs everyday right fielder. Suzuki has held his own in his first 41 major league games, hitting .245/.344/.432 with four home runs, 21 RBI and three stolen bases. He was 5-for-26 (.192) with no homers and nine K's in seven games before going on the injured list.
