6 years agoColorado Avalanche goaltender Semyon Varlamov allowed just two goals on 43 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 setback in a shootout against the New York Rangers in Madison Square Garden. The Avs are usually a thorn in the side for the Blueshirts on Broadway, and Tuesday's game was no exception. One of the goals, the opening tally of the game, came on the power play courtesy of Chris Kreider. Unfortunately for the Avalanche, Varlamov came up just short as he was beaten by Mats Zuccarello and Kevin Shattenkirk in the shootout.--Daniel Dobish
