6 years agoColorado Avalanche goaltender Semyon Varlamov allowed just one goal on 27 shots in Sunday's 4-1 victory against the Edmonton Oilers. He slapped the brakes on a personal five-game losing skid dating back to his last win Oct. 22 in Philadelphia. Varlamov is still 5-5-2 with a 2.26 goals-against average and .929 save percentage, making him a solid No. 2 fantasy backstop in most pools. He'll look to piece together a win streak on Wednesday night when the team return to the ice against the Boston Bruins.--Daniel Dobish
