Sergei Bobrovsky Shuts Down Defending Champs
6 years agoColumbus Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky stopped all 20 shots he faced in Tuesday's 3-0 win against the Washington Capitals to pick up his third shutout of the season, and the 27th shutout of his career. It was a showdown game for the Blue Jackets, as they pulled within two points of the defending Stanley Cup champs for third place in the Metropolitan Division. Bobrovsky improved to 23-16-1 with a 2.90 goals-against average and .903 save percentage. Next up for the Blue Jackets is a home battle against the New York Islanders.
