3 years agoChicago Cubs infielder Sergio Alcantara has been optioned to Triple-A Iowa ahead of Thursday's contest against the St. Louis Cardinals. The young infielder has struggled during his time at the big league level. Right-hander Trevor Megill will be recalled in a corresponding move. The Cubs bullpen has been used frequently lately and needs another fresh arm. Alcantara could be back up around the trade deadline, but won't be much of an asset in fantasy leagues.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
