Sergio Romo Serves Up Three-Run Homer To Blow Save Friday
3 years agoOakland Athletics relief pitcher Sergio Romo allowed a three-run homer to suffer the blown save Friday at Toronto. Oakland led this game by six runs at one point, but after Lou Trivino and Yusmeiro Petit were ineffective, manager Bob Melvin turned to the veteran Romo who allowed two hits before serving up a three-run shot to Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Romo had earned two saves while Trivino was sidelined with a back injury, but this performance could mean someone else gets the next save chance for Oakland.
