3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks first baseman Seth Beer is hitting cleanup against Washington Nationals right-hander Josiah Gray in Game 1 of a doubleheader on Tuesday. Beer has mostly been serving as the team's designated hitter this year, but he'll get the start at first base in this one. The 25-year-old left-handed slugger is one of a few Diamondbacks hitters swinging it well in the early going, as he's 8-for-21 with a double, home run, five RBI and three runs scored in his first eight games of the season. Beer has played in only 13 major league games dating back to last year, but he has notable power from the left side and will have DFS sleeper appeal on Tuesday in Game 1 in the cleanup spot.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
