3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks designated hitter Seth Beer is on the bench on Monday. The 25-year-old is hitting .238 with a .351 on-base percentage and a home ru nin 74 plate appearances this season, but won't start against the Miami Marlins and right-hander Pablo Lopez. Instead, Cooper Hummel is starting at designated hitter and batting fifth. Hummel is batting .171 with a .346 on-base percentage, two home runs, and a stolen base in 52 plate appearances this season.
