Seth Brown Cracks Three-Run Homer In Loss To Seattle
3 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Seth Brown went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in a loss to the Mariners on Monday. Brown got the scoring started early, taking Seattle hurler Chris Flexen deep in the top of the first to give the visitors an early lead. Brown was starting in place of Starling Marte (lat) and could see more playing time moving forward if Marte misses time. He's not much of a fantasy asset, however, as Brown is batting just .209 thanks to an unsightly 29.4% strikeout rate. Throw in a sub-.300 on-base percentage and Brown is best left on waivers for the final week of the season.
