4 years agoNew York Mets relief pitcher Seth Lugo (elbow) remains on track to begin a minor league rehab assignment in about a week or so. Assuming all goes well with his rehab, Lugo should return to the team in late May. Once he returns from the injured list, Lugo should work with Trevor May and Miguel Castro to handle late-inning work as a bridge to get to closer Edwin Diaz. Lugo will be in line to put up elite ratios and strikeouts, to go with a large number of holds, and perhaps some saves if Diaz struggles. Managers in leagues that reward holds should target Lugo if he is still available on the waiver wire.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
