Seth Lugo To Have First Start Skipped
7 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Seth Lugo was scheduled to make his first start of the season for the team’s second game of their series against the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday, but with Monday’s game being snowed out, Lugo will now have his start skipped. For the remaining two games of the series, the Amazins are still rolling with Harvey for Game 1 on Tuesday, but will instead have ace Noah Syndergaard take the mound on Wednesday. Given the short-term nature of starting pitcher Jason Vargas’ injury to his non-throwing hand, one has to wonder if Lugo will make any starts at all prior to being bumped from the rotation.
