2 years agoTampa Bay Rays right-hander Shane Baz (elbow), the No. 12 overall prospect in baseball per MLB Pipeline, had a career-high 10 strikeouts while allowing one run on four hits in 4 1/3 innings in his fourth minor league rehab start for Triple-A Durham on Sunday. The 22-year-old prospect was scheduled to go five innings, but he was pulled after retiring the first batter of the fifth inning on his 79th pitch. Baz is eligible to be activated from the 60-day injured list on Monday after recovering from surgery to remove loose bodies in his right elbow on March 22, but it's unknown if the Rays will reinstate him just yet. The 12th overall pick in 2017 has a 20:4 K:BB ratio in 13 rehab innings while limiting opponents to only two runs and a .167 average. Baz should be stashed everywhere.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
