3 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Shane Bieber (shoulder) has yet to begin throwing. While skipper Terry Francona reported that the 26-year-old has been working with heavy balls, he still has a way to go in his progression before a trip back to the bump is a possibility. Bieber was playing relatively well before succumbing to a right shoulder strain back in mid-June, owning a 3.28 ERA and a 7-4 record throughout 14 starts. J.C. Mejia should continue to get some additional chances through the rotation while Bieber is away, although he hasn't played well.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
