2 years agoCleveland Guardians starting pitcher Shane Bieber struck out 11 batters on Thursday, although he settled for the loss as the Orioles defeated his club 3-0. He was done in by the long ball as Cedric Mullins took him deep to begin the ball game for one of three solo shots he gave up during the contest. He would allow six hits and one walk over his seven frames of work, throwing 70 of his 104 pitches for strikes. Bieber's record now sits at 8-8 with a 3.06 ERA and 1.08 WHIP through 159 IP on the year.
