Shane Bieber To Start Sunday Against The Twins
7 years agoThe Cleveland Indians have recalled starting pitcher Shane Bieber from Triple-A Columbus to start Sunday's game against the Twins. Bieber was set to start Sunday's game, but the move ended up coming as a corresponding one after Carlos Carrasco was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a right elbow contusion. Bieber made his Major League debut against the Twins on May 31, allowed four runs on eight hits and a walk with six strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings. He has also posted a stellar 1.38 ERA with 42 strikeouts and only five walks in 45 2/3 IP at Triple-A. The 23-year-old is worth a start for those in points leagues trying to steal a win on the last day of the week.
