3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Shane McClanahan (1-0) allowed five hits while striking out three over five scoreless innings in Game 1 of the American League Division Series 5-0 win over the Boston Red Sox. He didn't walk anyone and picked up his first career postseason win on Thursday. The 24-year-old threw 82 pitches, landing 55 for strikes. McClanahan had an impressive rookie campaign, owning a 3.43 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, and 141 strikeouts over 123 1/3 innings, and continues his regular-season success in the playoffs. The Rays left-hander will draw the start if Game 5 of the ALDS is necessary.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
