3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Shane McClanahan (3-3) allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits and two walks while striking out five across five 1/3 innings during Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Blue Jays. He was tagged with his third loss of the season. The southpaw surrendered a solo home run to George Springer in the second inning. Toronto was able to tack on another run and the Rays left-hander was removed in the sixth inning after just 74 pitches. McClanahan owns a 4.02 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and a 66:18 K: BB across 56 innings in 2021. He's been solid recently and has now allowed three runs or less in his last five starts. The 24-year-old is tentatively scheduled for a rematch against Toronto next week. Fantasy managers might want to avoid using McClanahan in a tough matchup against a loaded Blue Jays offense.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
