2 years agoFormer Seattle Seahawks linebacker Shaquem Griffin announced his retirement from professional football on Wednesday. Griffin had his left hand amputated at age 4 because of amniotic-band syndrome and became the first player with one hand to be drafted in the NFL's modern era when Seattle took him in the fifth round in 2018. In three seasons with Seattle, the 27-year-old had 25 tackles (17 solo), six QB hits, one sack and a pass defensed in 46 games (one start). He signed with the Miami Dolphins last year but was released before the start of the regular season. Griffin wrote in his Players Tribune piece that "Football was always Plan B."--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
