4 years agoPhiladelphia Flyers defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere, who was waived by the team on Tuesday, has been called up from the taxi squad, and he's set to rejoin the lineup for Saturday's matchup against the Islanders. Forwards Nolan Patrick and Oskar Lindblom will also draw back into the lineup, and Tanner Laczynski is set to make his NHL debut. Gostisbehere was a very productive offensive d-man early in his career, and he's had his moments this season as well, but the 27-year-old has proven to be a defensive liability, and thus his role has diminished. However, he should have plenty of motivation to perform now after getting waived and going unclaimed.
