Shea Langeliers Slugs Grand Slam At Double-A

3 years agoAtlanta Braves catcher Shea Langeliers showed off his raw power on Thursday with a grand slam. The 23-year-old catcher now has four home runs in 17 games this season and is on pace for a 20+ homer season. Known more for his defensive and leadership skills, the power output could make him a more attractive fantasy option down the line. Langeliers has also shown a patient approach and has an impressive walk rate of 19% which increases his value in on-base leagues. The former ninth-overall draft pick from 2019 may never hit for a high average — he's currently hitting .220 through 17 games — but he could do enough to have value in fantasy leagues with two catcher slots.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
