Shed Long Jr. Heads Toward Decreased Playing Time
4 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Shed Long Jr. is being fazed out of the club’s everyday lineup moving forward, per manager Scott Servais. With Dylan Moore returning off of the injured list Friday, Long is running out of spots to see at-bats at. Slashing .170/.238/.295 through his first 32 games this year, Long is more of a future cog for the Mariners than an asset that they’ll attempt to get at-bats down the stretch. Despite his exciting stolen base potential, season-long fantasy managers can look elsewhere and leave Long on the wire for the time being.
