Shed Long Jr. Hits Injured List With Shin Fracture
4 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Shed Long Jr. was placed on the 10-day injured list prior to Friday’s contest against Arizona due to a stress fracture in his right shin. The ailment likely ends Long’s 2020 season, in which he scuffled at the dish to the tune of a .171 batting average through 34 games. Long had already been removed from full-time duties since the start of September, but his absence will now firmly entrench Dylan Moore at the keystone moving forward. Still just 25 years old, Long likely remains in Seattle’s long-term plans, although his ‘21 Draft value is likely based on how he comes back from his most recent injury.
