Shed Long Jr. Steals First Base Of Season
3 years agoSeattle Mariners utility man Shed Long Jr. reached base twice against the Oakland Athletics Friday, going 0-for-2 with two walks, and he took advantage by swiping his first base of the season. Long Jr. was expected to provide a bit of speed and a bit of pop, but it's taken him 108 plate appearances this year to get on the board in the speed department. With just four homers and a .601 OPS on the year, Long Jr. should not be on fantasy rosters.
