Shed Long Jr. To Begin Triple-A Rehab Assignment
4 years agoSeattle Mariners infielder Shed Long Jr. (shin) is expected to start a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma sometime over the next few days. Long had surgery back in September to repair a stress fracture in his right shin and has been working his way back ever since. After a promising 2019 campaign, the 25-year-old took a step back in 2020, finishing with a .171 average to go along with just 20 hits, nine RBI, and three home runs throughout 117 at-bats. Fantasy managers in category leagues looking for stolen bases could occasionally benefit, although Long probably won't see enough playing time, even if he does return sometime soon.
