Shed Long Jr Will Not Appear In Games Anytime Soon
4 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Shed Long Jr (shin) has not recovered as expected from offseason surgery, and will be held out of game action for the time being. He is being pulled back from his rehab work as he has continued to experience inflammation in his right shin. Long entered camp in a battle with Dylan Moore for the second base position, but this development essentially guarantees that Long will not surmount Moore. Long will begin the season as a utility bat off the bench, if he is healthy enough to play. He will likely not be a viable fantasy option.
