5 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Shed Long went 1-for-4 with a double, a run scored and a strikeout in Monday's 6-2 victory against the Texas Rangers. While he is slashing just .185/.290/.296, he is starting to show some signs of life at the dish. Long has hit safely in each of his past five games and his double was the third over his past four outings. He still isn't worth a look outside of the deepest of AL-only fantasy leagues, but he isn't a terrible low-cost option up the middle in DFS play while running hot. He should continue to play fairly regularly until Dee Gordon (wrist) is ready to return to game action.--Daniel Dobish
