5 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Shed Long made an impact with his legs in Monday's loss to the Astros. He went 2-for-3 with a double and a walk stealing two bases as the rest of the offense stayed relatively quiet in this one. Long now has three thefts in his first 13 career big league games, perhaps his only attribute for fantasy value. He's hitting a decent .244 with a .380 OBP, and he has recorded a hit in eight of his last 10 games, but there's not much here in terms of power. With Dee Gordon returning to action within the week, Long's stay in the majors is likely to end soon although he's certain to return later this summer.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
