Shohei Ohtani Allows One Run In No-Decision
2 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Shohei Ohtani was excellent on Saturday night as he allowed one run over eight innings of work in his club's 2-1 extra-inning victory over the Astros. The reigning AL MVP allowed six hits and no walks while striking out five batters in his 111-pitch effort as he settled for a no-decision in the pitcher's duel. He didn't help his cause on the mound by going 0-for-4 at the dish, but neither were any other Angels hitters since they logged just four hits all night. Ohtani will carry a 2.58 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with 181 strikeouts through 136 IP into his next scheduled contest versus the same Astros squad next weekend.
