6 years agoLos Angeles Angels superstar Shohei Ohtani (elbow) threw 33 pitches at about 70% in a bullpen session on Monday. He said afterward that he felt great. It is not exactly clear if Ohtani is an option to return to the mound this season, although the Angels likely will not rush him as long as they are not in contention. If Ohtani does make it back to the mound, he is worth a look after posting a 3.10 ERA and a 11.1 K/9 in nine starts. Hitter Ohtani has hit .271 with 12 home runs and five stolen bases, and has been a serviceable bat in all leagues.--patton
