4 years agoLos Angeles Angels pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani (blister) could throw a bullpen session on Monday in Kansas City, according to Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com. Manager Joe Maddon added though that he's unsure currently if Ohtani will be pitching with or without a band-aid over the blister. Ohtani's scheduled start this weekend was pushed back due to the blister on his middle finger, which was also an issue for him during Spring Training. While it has kept him from pitching, the blister has done nothing to slow down Ohtani at the plate as he is now slashing .300/.344/.700 with three home runs and two steals through eight games. If all goes well Monday, Ohtani could be back on the mound sooner than later.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
