4 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani (fatigue) will have his next start on the mound pushed back an additional one to three days due to fatigue, according to Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com. Coming off his best start in years, Ohtani was scheduled to take the mound again on Tuesday against Cleveland, but manager Joe Maddon said the decision was made after Ohtani appeared fatigued the day after his last outing. "We're going to move him back, but we don't know to when," Maddon said. "But there's no blisters. Nothing. Just being proactive. It's in his best interest, too. To me, the day after he pitched the other day, he looked a little bit fatigued at the plate. It set off a little bit of an alarm for me." For now though, Ohtani will continue to bat in the Angels' lineup, and he should return to the mound soon.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
