3 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani (9-1) was great for seven innings on the mound in Friday's 3-2 victory over the Texas Rangers. He allowed two runs on seven hits, struck out eight, and walked two while picking up the win. He didn't help himself out with the bat, though, going 0-for-4 with a strikeout. The start lowered his season ERA to 2.97, and he now has a 29.7 K%, along with a 1.07 WHIP. He's been cold at the plate recently, slashing .194/.333/.388 since August, but still owns a .970 OPS with 42 HRs over 132 games. He should be started on both sides of the ball in every format, contributing to almost every category.--Spencer Seguin - RotoBaller
