4 years agoLos Angeles Angels pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Otani will be questionable to pitch on Monday after being struck by a pitch at the plate on Sunday. Ohtani was struck on the elbow Sunday and, while he finished the game, admitted to soreness afterwards. "It just might be sore for a bit," said manager Joe Maddon to reporters. "Those pads are pretty good. But it might've caught him right in between the crease of the pad. But he's fine. He not would not have been able to react the way he did afterwards if there was anything more to it." If Ohtani does not take the mound, expect the Angels to cobble together nine innings with their bullpen for Monday.--Joey C - RotoBaller
