7 years agoLos Angeles Angels starter and designated hitter Shohei Ohtani is in the lineup for Opening Day, batting eighth and serving as the designated hitter. It is expected that Ohtani will DH on occasion when he isn't pitching, and it looks like he will get a chance to do so on Opening Day. Ohtani did not hit well in spring training, and at this point his pitching is further along than his hitting. He is worth starting as a hitter in deeper leagues, but should be held only for his pitching in most standard formats, at least for now.--patton
