4 years agoLos Angeles Angels designated hitter/pitcher Shohei Ohtani will take the mound Friday in Minnesota against the Twins. Ohtani was dazzling in his last start, striking out 10 Seattle hitters while allowing only two runs through six innings on June 4. It has been an incredible season for the two-way future All-Star. Ohtani ranks among the AL leaders in home runs (17) and RBI (44) with a .650 slugging percentage at the plate. The 26-year-old has also been electric on the mound, posting a 1.16 WHIP, a 2.76 ERA, a 12.76 K/9 rate while holding opponents to a .162 batting average. Ohtani has been, by far, the Angels best starter but has only two wins to show for it through eight starts. Ohtani will be a must-start for Friday's start on the mound.--Joey C - RotoBaller
