5 years agoLos Angeles Angels designated hitter Shohei Ohtani is not in the starting lineup Thursday against the Oakland Athletics. Ohtani will look to reset with this day off as he has been struggling of late, mustering just one hit over his last 16 at-bats. Overall, Ohtani has a solid .286/.344/.492 slash line to go along with 16 home runs, 55 RBI and 11 stolen bases over 360 plate appearances. If Ohtani can find his stroke again, he could be a big help to fantasy owners at the most important time in the fantasy season. Justin Upton will bat fifth out of the designated hitter spot against lefty Brett Anderson, but he is not worth much fantasy consideration as he owns a dismal .113/.240/.258 slash line against left-handed pitching this season.--Joseph Magazzinich
