4 years agoLos Angeles Angels designated hitter/pitcher Shohei Ohtani is slugging .617 over his last 15 games heading into the team's matchup with the Astros on Monday. Ohtani is tied for the major league lead in home runs with 10 and has been a revelation at the plate as well as on the mound. On top of sporting a 14.49 K/9 rate as a starter, Ohtani also has hits in five of his last six starts and is slashing .276/.326/.626 through 123 at-bats. The 26-year-old is delivering upon the immense promise that came with his arrival to the major leagues two season.
