Shohei Ohtani To Make First Start On Mound Since June
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels designated hitter/starting pitcher Shohei Ohtani will take the mound for the first time since June in Sunday's game against the Astros. While he has been hitting, Ohtani had not been pitching since suffering a UCL sprain. The two-way star has a solid 3.10 ERA with an 11.13 K/9 rate and a 3.65 BB/9 rate in 49 1/3 innings pitched this season. He will likely be on a pitch count tonight and also faces a tough matchup, so owners may want to sit Ohtani for this start.
