4 years agoLos Angeles Angels pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani is scheduled to take the mound Friday against the Mariners. Ohtani last pitched on May 28, allowing three runs through six innings pitched. His control was not pinpoint in that outing, walking four hitters and has issued 13 free passes to opposing hitters over his last 22 2/3 innings pitched. Recent control issues aside, Ohtani is still having an amazing two-way season. Through his first seven starts, the 26-year-old has punched out 50 hitters through 36 1/3 innings with a 2.72 ERA and holding opponents to a .154 batting average. Ohtani should be an upper-tier DFS selection against the Mariners.--Joey C - RotoBaller
