7 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher and designated hitter Shohei Ohtani wants to play more. So far, Ohtani has started two games on the mound and been the designated hitter five times through the team's first 13 games. While manager Mike Scioscia has repeatedly said the team will err on the side of caution with Ohtani, if he keeps hitting well, he could easily force his way into more time. This is a situation worth paying attention to with the 23-year-old phenom, who has a 2.07 ERA and a 12.5 K/9 on the mound and is hitting .364 with three home runs in 22 at-bats.--patton
