Shohei Ohtani Will Miss Tuesday's Start
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani (hand) won't make his next start on Tuesday against the New York Yankees, according to Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com. Ohtani exited Saturday's game after being hit in the hand by a fastball while up to bat. He has still been able to hit after the injury, but manager Joe Maddon is unsure when his next start will be. Right-hander Jaime Barria will start in Ohtani's place. It's unfortunate for fantasy managers if he misses extended time, as he has been a great asset on both sides of the ball. He has produced a 3.00 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, 29.9 K%, and a 9.2 BB% on the mound, as well as a .986 OPS with the bat.
