Shohei Ohtani Will Be Opening Day Starter For Angels
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels star Shohei Ohtani will reportedly be the team's Opening Day starter, according to MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger. Fantasy baseball's best player in leagues where he is eligible as both a position player and a pitcher, Ohtani pitched to a 3.18 ERA, a 3.52 FIP, 156 strikeouts, and 44 walks in 130.1 innings last season for the Angels. The 27-year-old will take the mound against the Houston Astros on Opening Day. Last season in two starts against the Astros, Ohtani allowed 13 hits, seven earned runs, a home run, and a walk in 10.1 innings while striking out 11 batters.
