4 years agoToronto Blue Jays pitcher Simeon Woods Richardson threw three shutout innings against the New York Yankees on Wednesday. The 20-year-old prospect allowed just two hits and one walk while striking out four batters including Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton. He struck out batters on four different pitch types (fastball, slider, curveball, and changeup) and his heather sat mostly 92 mph. Woods Richardson's lack of premium velocity will limit his ceiling but his ability to throw four pitches for strikes is unusual for such a young pitcher.
