4 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitchers Sixto Sanchez (shoulder) and starting pitcher Elieser Hernandez (biceps) are throwing without issues. Both hurlers have been able to toss, though Hernandez is farther along, having thrown 90 feet with bullpen work slated for next week. Sanchez has progressed from throwing 45 feet to 60 feet without issue or setback, so he's certainly heading in the right direction as well. Both Hernandez, who struck out 11.9 batters per nine innings last year, and Sanchez, who fanned 10 batters in just his second big-league start last year, possess a fair amount of strikeout upside when they're healthy.
