4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Andrew McCutchen is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Marlins. Roman Quinn will occupy McCutchen's usual positions atop the batting order and in left field for a tough matchup against Miami starter Pablo Lopez. McCutchen has been slumping lately and took an 0-for-5 with three strikeouts in Wednesday night's loss. The veteran outfielder is batting just .202 this season and has an uncharacteristically high 27.3 percent strikeout rate. He still walks a lot and gets on base which is why the Phils have stuck with him in the leadoff spot, but McCutchen is killing fantasy managers right now. He has value in leagues that reward walks, but there are likely better outfielders on waivers in most fantasy leagues.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
