7 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Gerrit Cole is off to a promising start through three preseason starts. The big-game pitcher was acquired from the Pirates in the offseason and has allowed only one run through 8 2/3 innings pitched with eight strikeouts in spring training. Cole won 19 games in 2015 with a 2.60 ERA but is 19-22 over the past two years and his ERA balooned to 4.26 last season. Cole is trying to return to form and thus far is off to a great start to his season. Cole will have to cut down his home run totals after allowing 31 in 2017 and now will pitch at home with a short left field porch at Minute Maid Park. But Cole heads into fantasy drafts with plenty of upside and could easily return to form and win 14 to 17 games this season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
