Sonny Gray Excellent In Loss
6 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Sonny Gray turned in an excellent start against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday. Despite taking his third loss, Gray pitched well, allowing three runs over six innings of work while striking out nine. Gray suffered a calf contusion in his last start but the minor injury didn't cause him any issues on Wednesday afternoon. After four starts, Gray has a 0-3 record, 2.79 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, and 22 strikeouts in 19 1/3 innings. This is the best Gray has pitched since his heyday as the ace of the Oakland A's staff. He is worth a waiver claim in all formats while he's throwing the ball well.
