Sonny Gray Fails To Make It Out Of The Fourth Inning
4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Sonny Gray struggled in a 5-4 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday. Gray allowed five runs in 3 2/3 innings while striking out six and walking three. The veteran hurler was done in by a four-run third inning in which he gave up two doubles to the Cardinals. Gray took the loss in the game, dropping his record to 0-1 with a 7.88 ERA, 2.13 WHIP, and 12 strikeouts in eight innings of work. He draws a tough matchup against the Los Angeles Dodgers next time through the rotation.
