Sonny Gray Gives Up Six Runs In Loss
2 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Sonny Gray had a rough night on the mound on Thursday as the White Sox went on to rout his club 12-2. The right-hander allowed six runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out three over 3 2/3 IP in what marked his shortest outing since April 16. Gray promptly allowed a pair of runs to score in the first frame, but the big blow came in the fourth when Luis Robert tagged him for a grand slam. The loss dropped his record to 4-3 on the year to go along with a 3.71 ERA and 1.16 WHIP as we enter the All-Star break.
