4 years agoCincinnati Reds starting pitchers Sonny Gray (back) and Michael Lorenzen (shoulder) are expected to open the season on the injured list, according to Bobby Nightengale of the Cincinnati Enquirer. Gray has not pitched in a game since March 4 due to a strained back muscle, while Lorenzen has been out since March 15 with a "slight" shoulder strain. While they will start the season on the injured list, neither injury is expected to keep the two out of action for too long. With Gray and Lorenzen out, Nightengale says that the back half of the rotation will likely consist of Wade Miley, Jose De Leon and Jeff Hoffman early on. None of those three will have much value in fantasy, but if you had to pick one, De Leon could hold some value as a matchup-dependent streaming option after striking out 24 in 16 2/3 innings this spring.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
